Bright like a Diamond

- The very Basics

For everyone who wears glasses, we have great beauty tricks to make your eyes look brighter, too!

What you need:

  • Eyeshadow (one light and one dark shade)

  • Primer for eye makeup

  • Eye Liner Pencil (in white or pink)

  • Black Mascara

  • Concealer

  • Brush

Step-by-Step

First work with a bright and shiny eye shadow. In order for it to last as long as possible, apply an eye shadow base or a special primer for eye make-up to the entire lid. Only then apply the light shade to the eyelid with a brush. Dab a little concealer under the eyes so that no shadows cloud the view. Now use a thin brush to pick up a dark, matte eye shadow and draw a thin line near the upper lash line.

Alternatively, an eyeliner can also be used. However, eyeshadow has the advantage that, unlike eyeliner, it forgives small inaccuracies and the eyeliner can be corrected more easily.

Work the same dark eyeshadow into the crease and blend well - either with a brush or with your fingers. There should be no hard edges. Now take a bright kohl pencil and use it to trace the upper and lower waterline. If the contrast with a white kohl on the waterline seems too strong, you can also choose a light pink shade.

Apply some dark eyeshadow to the lower lash line and blend in. Finally, apply the eyelashes. It is best to go over the eyelashes two or three times with the eyelash brush so that the wow effect does not disappear behind the glasses.

Extra Tips to make your eyes look bigger:

A dark, matt tone gives your eye a frame. Shimmering tones, on the other hand, make the eye stand out.

Applying a combination of matt-dark and light-shimmering tones is therefore ideal for short-sighted women who wear glasses. Black Mascara should be used for a bold Look. Brown mascara often gets lost behind the glasses.

This make-up technique is also particularly suitable for women who have drooping eyelids. These are optimally concealed by the mixture of glossy and matt tones. If you also draw a long eyeliner with an eyeliner and apply a little more colour, you have conjured up trendy smokey eyes in no time.

The eyebrows are also important. They give the face a frame and thus ensure expression. You can fill in small gaps with brow powder, a soft eyebrow pencil or an eyebrow ink.

Put a shimmering highlighter under your eyebrows (and in the corner of your eyes!), This visually opens your eyes and makes your eyes look bigger.
